Call for Submissions: Art UAQ Exhibition – 4th Edition

Location: Casa Mikoko, Umm Al Quwain Mangrove Reserve.
Dates: 7th, 8th and 9th February 2025

We invite artists to submit their work for the upcoming Art UAQ Exhibition, which will center around the theme of “Nature & Heritage.” This is an opportunity to showcase your creativity in a unique setting and contribute to a vibrant cultural event.

Submission Guidelines:
- All forms of 2D and 3D hangable artwork are welcome. The dimensions of the pieces will be adjusted based on available space.
- Artwork must be original, created within the last five years, and should not infringe upon the copyright of any other entity.
- Content should be appropriate and non-offensive.
- Artists are encouraged to submit works that are available for sale, as there will be no gallery commission on sales.

Participation Fee:
250 AED to support event costs.

Important Dates:
- Submission Deadline: January 15th, 11:59 PM
- Jury Notification: A few days following your submission
- Artwork Drop-Off: Sunday, February 2nd, or Tuesday, February 4th, during Casa Mikoko opening hours
- Opening Ceremony: February 7th (schedule to be confirmed)
- Exhibition Dates: February 7th – 9th
- Artwork Pick-Up: Sunday, February 9th, 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What's Next

Once your submission has been reviewed by the panel, the artist will receive an email of acceptance. Artwork will need to be hang ready, and if any unusual hanging methods are required, please let us know before dropping off. Artwork will need to be dropped off during designated drop off times and dates emailed with your acceptance, and all packaging materials will need to be retained by the artist. Artwork will be displayed for the weekend period, so if your work will not be available for the duration of the show, please do not submit that particular piece.
